911 Operators: Our Heroes

At Bio-One NW Indianapolis, we understand the importance of efficient communication in emergency situations and recognize the critical service provided by 911 operators. This week, we honor 911 operators for their service during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

911 operators are on the front lines, answering calls and providing critical information to emergency responders. They play a crucial role as the first point of contact for individuals in crisis, and their ability to remain calm and composed is essential. We work closely with 911 operators and officers to coordinate our response to biohazard and trauma cleanup situations, and their ability to gather critical information and provide guidance is essential to any emergency response effort.

We extend our thanks and appreciation to all of the 911 operators who serve our communities. Your dedication and hard work inspire us all. Take a moment this week to recognize the important work of our 911 operators. Thank them for their service and let them know that their efforts do not go unnoticed.

National Telecommunications Week

The second week of April is a time to celebrate and thank telecommunications professionals who dedicate their lives to serving the public. Often called the thin gold line, 911 dispatchers are true heroes behind the scenes.

"This week-long event, initially set up in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California, is a time to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It is a week that should be set aside so everyone can be made aware of their hard work and dedication." - Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International

Bio-One would like to say "Thank You" and join the many police departments and fire stations whom are recognizing 911 dispatchers across the U.S.

It is National Telecommunications Week. Our dispatchers receive the first calls, sends assistance & provide the lifeline for the public and our police officers. They are always there to answer the calls for help. We want to recognize & applaud all their efforts today & everyday.— Maryland Heights PD (@MHPolice) April 12, 2021
